i am 18, i eat very very healthy, i exercise 3-4 times a week for at least two hours each time. i am 5’5 and i weigh 154. about two years ago i was 5’2 and i weighed 164. i lost about 20 pounds but then gained 10 back when i grew taller (naturally). but ever since i lost that significant amount of weight i have not been able to lose any weight. i have a lot of fat on my belly and inner thighs. is it just because my body doesnt want to lose anymore weight? i need to lose weight and i need to know how. any suggestions? eating healthy and exercising seems to not be working anymore…i am getting to the point where i am willing to try diet pills and such. please help me!! thanks ![]()

You might want to see a registered dietitian who can evaluate your diet and exercise, metabolic rate, and body fat percent. They are experts at finding the culprit.
I suspect one of two things. You’re not eating enough so your 2 hours of exercise is forcing your body to conserve every calorie that you consume. It’s counter intuitive, but your body knows how to survive eating too few calories.
Or when you say you eat healthy you’re still eating too many calories. Many people eat healthy but don’t lose weight because they still eat too many calories and portions are too large. For instance olive oil is a heart healthy fat, but it is still loaded with calories, so if you use too much of it you’ll still eat too many calories. An RD can definitely help and maybe using one of the online food diary tools.
