dont give me the genetics lecture or whatever.

I’m 15 so I guess I can grow abit more, so I want to give it my all. Can you tell me what foods and excercises help you grow? I swim and play tennis but I don’t think it’s doing much. I know genetics plays a role, but I would love to hear tips. Thankyou so much :-)

hey i just graduated from high school goin off to college in august. i am black 5 foot 9. my dad is about 5 foot 9 but looks a lil shorter than me and my mom is about 5 foot 4-5. i know genetics play a roll but come on my parents are short but how can my brother be 6 foot 3 it doesnt make sense and im stck at 5’9 i feel short. my sister is 5’10. will strectching exercises increase my height. if so what excercises can i do and how long will it take to notice any difference?

Im a 13 year old female and im only like 5ft or 5.1ft. i really want to grow taller but im pretty sure naturally i wont because i’ve barley grown a bit in these past two years. I dont really belive much in drinking milk and excersizeing for getting taller. my parents are pretty short to its probably genetics. Is there any way i could get taller, or some kind of pills that the doctor will say is safe because my mom wont let me take something without a doctor saying its alright to take it. & is there any side affects?

Or are you going to tell me that it’s not based on diet and it’s on genetics? i’m a 15 year old female and i want to grow really bad! i read in a few articles that asians are short because their diets are typically grains. and when they arrive at america , their diets change so that is why you see 6’5 tall asians walking around these days!! is this true? would it work? or is it just crazy? what happens when i eat more protein then i need?

Okay, I’m probably one of two million people that ask this same question, but I really want to grow. I’m 18 and 5’7” and Asian. I calculated that my height should be 5’8” but I’m not even 5’8” and I want to be taller. I want to do everything it takes. I heard men stops growing at 21 so I still have a chance. Here are the things I’m going to try:
Take Human Growth Hormone: I’ve researched and It seems like Sytropin and Genf20 are actually effective in producing HGH for growing taller
Stretching: I’m going to exercise harder and stretch more, Jump rope and Sprints
Quit smoking and drinking: Yeah i know i shouldnt have started those in the first place..
Take other supplements: vitamins, royal jelly, etc.
Eat more healthy foods: no fast food ever!
Try to sleep more.
Use Yoko: it’s worth a try. it’s cheap.
Use an Inversion Table.

I want to be 5’10” to 6’1”

Any other suggestions would be very appreciated.

Do you guys think these things will actually help me get an extra few inches in height?
Yeah a lot of people talked about how genetics is everything but iono…there’s so many articles and such that talk about stretching, hgh and stuff….

Here are the things to think about (please read all to give an accurate answer): I am 1.71m or 5.6′ft
1. I have always been short for my age, I look like 15 or 14 right now and im 17
2. My mother is very short (1.5m or 4.9′ ft) and my brother is only 1.75m or 5.7′ ft (yes I know genetics plays a big role in height) previous family height is around 1.60m for females and 1.80m for males
3. I have never been fit because I have done little exercise activity (im not fat but I do have some body fat) I do not have the volume of muscle an average 15 year old would have. And I have lead a sedentary life up to now.
4. I have had anemia before and my nutrition has sucked, only recently I have started to eat more healthy (yes I have had calcium deficiency, nutrients, vitamins etc.)
5. I have always slept late and I have 2 black circles under my eyes, now I sleep around 6 to 8 hours a night
6. I do not smoke or drink coffee or lift heavy weights

Goal: I want to grow to 1.85m like my dad, I will do anything it takes except surgery or stupid temporary gains like shoes with higher heels

-I’m thinking of doing Yoga stretches and heavy impact exercising to break muscle and bone fibers so that they grow back when I rest.

-I will take zinc 1 supplement and tune my nutrition.

-I will sleep 8 hours a night

What else can I do, what do you suggest, what should I incorporate into my nutrition? etc.

I am 19 years old and my genetics say that I may grow taller… What could I do to get taller even? Would marijuana help growth if used as a dietary supplement that I use before work outs? (Sometimes I am motivated to work out after cannabis consumption.)
I forgot to mention no ignorance allowed. If you think that the "munchkins" from the Wizard of Oz were short because they "overdid" marijuana, then you are probably a heavy marijuana smoker yourself and should not be answering this question.

recently i found out that i live in a society where it is a major disadvantage if you’re not tall enough. i never thought i’d be discriminated for my height before in any instance, especially school organizations. it’s stressing me out along with other things, and i guess if i can’t beat em, i’ll join em.
okaay, enough ranting. but i would really love to grow a couple of inches. i’m 5’0 right now, if even, and just growing 2 or 3 inches would mean the WORLD to me before it’s too late. i know genetics have a lot to do with it, but i think i still have the potential to grow even with my mom being 5’2 and my dad being 5’4. i’m 15 years old, i get plenty of exercise, but it’s my diet where everything falls a little shaky. and since diet has a lot to do with growing, what can i eat to help me grow? is there anything else that i can do? i WILL try growth supplements, but i don’t know if there are any for people my age. if you do, link please?

ok, im 14, and i am 4 10, and i know its genetics, but what exercises to maximize height growth? i currently jump rope is that good exewrcising for gro taller?

My brother and I are (brother) 6`0 and (myself) 5`1. He is 17 and I am 13. We would both like to grow taller. For some reason we want to be 6`4. Is there any way to grow taller naturally? Or is it just genetics?

Molecular biologists, bioengineers, or biochemists? I’m assuming they also deal with DNA and genetics?

I am going to turn 15 in about a month & my current height is 5 feet 7.25 inches. My dad is 6 feet and my mom is 5’4" tall. I know height is based on genetics but is there any way for me to grow 1 inch. Please suggest some excercises!!! NO SUPPLEMENTS!

im 15. i’m 5′ 6". i would like to be at least around 5′ 10" – 6′ but i know genetics is pretty much the only way ill get that tall and considering the fact that im already taller than both of my parents, it’s gonna be really hard. im taller than my dad by 3" and my mom by around 4"-5".
i dont drink much caffeine of soda at all. i exercise daily by going to the gym or occasionally jogging about 6 miles. i do lift weights and i know that people say it stunts your growth but i want to for sports next year. please any advice to grow taller? i dont have to grow fast but just gradually.
