I just became 15 this month

I’am a guy and I’am just 5 feet tall

I drink milk occasionally (I often forget)
I eat 3 full meals a day and a snack in the morning,
sometimes in the afternoon and sometime at night.

I sleep around 8hrs a day

I sleep facing the sides with my knees bended and hugging a pillow.
-is this bad?some say I should sleep straight facing the ceiling.

I stopped growing more than a year now (I think a year and a half)..
I think I just grew a cm in that duration..

My mom and sister are short (I think both of them are 4’11")
but my bro is about 5’6"-5’8" tall, my dad is 5’4"-5’6" I think..

J.S. prom is in 15 days and I want to attend and dance. But I don’t want to be this short..
Many girls are at the same hight as mine or maybe an inch or 2 taller than me..
but they would still be wearing hilled shoes..

So I want to grow maybe an inch or 2 before the prom. Is this possible?
Or are there any tips for me to start growing again even in not a 15 day period?
Or are there any tips in me to look and become taller?
Is carrying stuff and exercise (pull ups, push ups and sit ups) bad for growing?
-they say you would stop growing or even become shorter by doing these.

Hello. I know height is determined by genetics, and my mom is 5’5" and dad is 5’7" at most. When I was younger, the doctors said I would be 6’0" or more by the time I stopped growing. How is this possible?

I stretch, drink plenty of water, take vitamins, and jump trampoline for two or more hours each day. However, can the jumping on the trampoline help decrease height?

Honestly, my desired height is set at around 5’10" by the time I stop growing. I’m really interested if there are any real success stories with height increase methods (that are not scams). I don’t care how expensive it may be, either. I have the money.

I’ve heard of Growth Enhancer Plus, which is claimed to be the only doctor-recommended supplement to help increase height. Has anyone had success with this. It’s 0 a bottle, and I wonder if it’s a scam…

Sadly, I’m desperate to get taller, and need some answers.

By the way – I’ll turn 15 on May 30th, if that helps any…

Hi, im 15 teen girl and im only 5’2. I was wondering how i could grow taller because i really want to get to at least 5’8”. I’m taller than my mom but not yet taller than my dad. I weight about 145 so being short and a little overweight makes me look kinda chubby. How can i grow taller? exercise, foods?

Height: 5’9 or a bit taller
Height at age 11-12: 4 foot ten, 13 yrs: 5’4 14 yrs:5’6-5’7
Shoe size: 12 inches
Dad: 5’11…..almost 6 ft when he was at his peak(my dad has smaller shoes than I do)
Mom: 5’3

My dad has soso genes…..he was the tallest among his siblings but he had taller uncles and granddads

My mom has tall genes……
My cousins on her side (age 16-20) are almost all 5’11-6’1……..basically I just have two cousins on her side who went under 6 ft. Tall relatives and such

I’m kinda late in my puberty…I’m just starting to get body hairs…almost none at the moment..I don’t shave yet….I have like 3 hairs on each of my arm pit…but I have pubic hairs though….no acnes………minimal leg hair…no arm hair.

My brother though didn’t get pat 5’9..he remained the same height since he was 17…..he got very sick and almost died because of lung problems caused by drinking and smoking……I’m kinda taller than him now…….he’s 21 now.

So my questions are:

1.) Could I still grow?
2.) How much, on average, do 15 year old males grow in inches before stopping?
3.) What could be my predicted height?

I’m almost sixteen, but I’ve grown half an inch since the last time. My teachers told me that girls stop growing around the age of fifteen. But all of these other people keep saying that there is still another growth spurt left.

I don’t know. Can I still grow taller or have I already stopped growing? My dad was pretty tall, but my mom isn’t.

i know that height is genetic and not something we can control and all that but my cousin’s parents are both short and he is 6′. my mom says its ‘cuase he used to drink over 3 glasses of milk a day and i can’t think of any other reason why this happened.his grandparents weren’t tall either. because of people like him i do feel that we can somewhat control our growth.i’m am 15 and 4’11 and i am not happy with it. please don’t tell me to be happy about being short becuase i want to be at least 5’3 before i stop growing. should i ask my doctor for vitamin supplements? would exercising help? because i don’t do any kind of physical activity. and if so, what kind of exercises? what kinds of foods might help? and what about stretching? ok thanks

Ok, so I just turned 15 a few days ago (gr. 10) and I’m 5’6 without shoes on. I’m a guy btw. I want to know how tall I will grow.

My dad is 5’10 and a half. Hes 176cm tall

My mom is 5’3

My mom’s father is 6’0 and my mom’s brother is 6’0

My dad’s sisters are around 5’7-8 and my dad’s brothers are 5’11

My dad grew really late. He grew 2-3 inches when he was 18-20. I saw a picture of him, he was around 5’6 in high school.

My dad’s side cousins (who are in their 20s) are 6’6”(seriously hes tall as a freak, he also is a pro golf player), and 6’1”. I have a cousin who is the same age as me and the last time we met which was in the summer he was 1 cm taller than me.

My mom side has only one cousin and shes a girl ( if you need to know shes like 5’4 and shes 16)

So, I’m like the 4th shortest guy in my grade (theres 55 guys in my grade). And i’m the same height as a guy who’s parents are (5’7 and 5’0).

I sleep aroudn 61/2- 71/2 hours a day.

I drink choclate milk in random bursts (like 1 week i’ll drink a lot and the next week i’ll drink very little)

I’ll admit i don’t eat vegetables. my parents pampered me when i was a kid so they never made me eat my vegetables and now i hate vegetables. (i’m trying to start eat vegetables, like carrots and celery in my dinner (but this is still not often, I go many days without eating a single vegetable)

I am stressed. I go to a super competitive highschool and quite a few of the students sleep 6 hours a day or less. we have a lot of hw and projects and the like. (95% of our student body gets 90% or higher percentile on all sections of the SAT and PSAT)

I don’t really know why i’m so stressed about my height. it also doesn’t help that i’m one of the shortest guys in the grade and even my friends who used to be the same height as me are shooting up.

So, if you actually know how tall people grow and you can enter this data into the brain of yours just attempt to give me an estimate of how tall I will grow.

P.S. I heard basketball makes you grow taller by jumping. I don’t play basketball mainly becasue i’m so short, but i want to know if its true. If there are any suggestions that people do that help them gain height (no pills or surgery) I would appreciate it.

Okay so I am 14 and I got my period about 2yrs and a few months ago. Now I know that a lot of people say girls stop growing 2yrs after having their period but I grew 1/4 of an inch over the summer. I am 5"4, my mom is 5"5 and my dad is 6ft. Do you think ill get taller?

*NOTE: Im a vegetarian but i take supplements such as b12 &omega3
& on school days i go to sleep at 11pm and wake up at 7am

Is it legal for a doctor to give me Human Growth Hormone even though I do not have a disease and I just want to be taller? My mom is 5′ 3”, so its in my genes. I’ve heard that if I am going to take hormones to increase my height I must do it now, there is not way to increase height once you’ve reached adulthood. Is HGH safe as long as it is administered by a doctor?

Alright here’s the deal
I’m 16, turning 17 in April and i’m 5"6
I’m thinking of majorly switching my lifestyle up cos i feel like i can still grow alot more cos my dad is 5"5 and so is my mom, but males on my mom’s side are GIANTS.
And my brother, who took most of my mom’s genes, just turned 15 this month and is 5"5! so he’s definitely gonna be tall when he’s around my age lol.
Well i have a high metabolism, I dont always smoke, but occasionally, I drink occasionally too, i never sleep early, i on average get like 4 or 5 hours of sleep everyday, I play basketball, but only once a week, during gym class in school, and i have really long legs but a short torso, i wear size 32 length trousers (and i’m a boy btw, i’m aware that most girls have naturally long legs) and really long hands(i can stand up straight and touch the top of my knee caps easily lol)

So this is my plan

I will make my sleep pattern better, having at least 8-9 hours of sleep each day, even on weekends.
I will have all 3 aquare meals each day, but what times will it be best for me to have those meals so that the nutrients will help me achieve maximum growth? Also, what kind of meals should i have? more protein? more carbs ? i dont know lol, please tell me

I will stop smoking, i might have a ciggarrete maybe every once in like a month or something, when i go to parties or something

I’m gonna become an avid swimmer as i hear swimming helps so i’ll go swimming for about an hour at least 5 times a week. What times would be most effective for me to swim to achieve maximum growth? p.s the swimming pool closes at 8 on weekdays and at 6 on weekends. And what strokes should i do to achieve maximum height, HGH secretion and all that?

I’m also gonna become more into basketball as i want to play in college and that :)

For breakfast, I’m most likely to have a cup of coffee along with my meal, but i’ll always drink a glass of milk before i go to bed. I tend to eat alot of eggs with breakfast so that should help cushion some of coffee’s calcium stealing activities right?

I also eat alot of meat and chicken, not enough vegetables but i’ll start that too

I’ll groom myself really well, practice good hygiene and everything

I’ll do pull ups,everyday, when i wake up, and before i go to bed, Probably like 40 a day

I’ll follow this plan rigorously then after like 2 or 3 months i’ll start to take some calcium supplements, amino acids and such? That okay?

I know height is in your genes and blah blah blah, but i know i should be tall, cos i’ve always had long legs, always been kinda tall till i was like 11 or 12 then everything started going slow, but i had some bad habits anyway.

I’m also gonna take an xray to see if my long bones have fused or closed or something which leaves me at my final height which i doubt.

I know Scotty Pippen grew over 4 inches after he was 22 in his NBA career and a bunch of other NBA stars, probably cos of the rigorous training? I don’t know but i know i should be wayyy taller than this

So what you think of the plan, sound good, any possibility of it working?

Well, I’m a 17 year old guy and I’m only 5’8, I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to get to 6 feet, or at least grow tiny bit taller. I don’t care how much, I just need to get a bit taller. I’m not doing for the girls, taller people have an advantage in some sports (tennis, basketball, etc..) I’m starting to lose hope because I know that our height highly depends on our parents. I’m already taller than my father by 1.5 inches and my mom by 4-5 inches. I don’t want any drugs like HGH by the way.

I’m 5 ft. 7 inches and 16 years old. My dad is 5 ft. 11 and my mom is 6 ft. I’m worried that I’ve stopped growing in height. I don’t get how my whole family is so tall, but I happen to be at 5 ft. 7 inches. No, it’s not short but I like to be really tall. Is there any chance of me growing in the future(height) and what are some ways of naturally getting taller? I started my period when I was 13 and I hear that after two years of your period, you stop growing. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Hey, I’m really concerned about my height. Almost all my friends, even my 13 year old girlfriend are taller than me. My mom is only 5’2" and my dad isn’t quite six feet tall. I eat heavy meals rich in carbs and protein, I take calcium, magnesium and Vitamin B supplements and I exercise regularly but not excessively. I get eight to nine hours of sleep consistently.

And yet, I’ve only grown half an inch since spring, and only 1.5 inches since last summer.

What can I do to grow?
Thanks SLBSH but Im more looking for ways to artificially increase my growth. Like, other supplements that I should take, or medication, or really anything. I have my short mom’s bone structure and I’m worried that I won’t get much taller unless I overcome my genetics.

Okay, I’m 13 years old. In the 7th grade. I am only 4’9. i hit puberty in 3rd grade, and had my period in 4th grade. I haven’t grown ANY in over a year, and a year ago I grew two inches in one month after going almost a year without growing.

I drink coffee which has a lot of caffeine in it.. (i think caffeine stunts your growth, right?) My mom is like 5’4 or something in that area and my dad is 5’7 or 5’6 or a few inches taller. Some people say that you don’t stop growing until you are like 21 but my mom quit growing for a while at 16 then grew another inch when she was 18 and thats it.

I’m italian…. =/ I think that matters kinda cuz a lot of people say that italians have a tendency to be pretty short..

I eat pretty healthily and get.. well, decent sleep. On week nights about 5-6 hours and on weekends and on holidays and stuff I get about 10-12 hours ( because school gets in the way XP )

I’m just worried cuz I haven’t been growing a lot and it bugs me.. I wanna be able to reach certain things! lol and one of my friends told me that you quit growing 3 years after puberty O.o I mean I know that isn’t right but it doesn’t make me feel any better… lol

another thing.. lol umm my mom said the shortest person in family history that she can remember was like 5’1. I have a feeling that I will be that short.. I just want to at least make it to about 5’3 if i can.

I am 15 years old, weighing 240 pounds. I am 5’7 and I want to reach 6 foot. My mom says that I need to eat less and go on a diet if I want to grow taller but I read online that you have to eat as much as you can to grow taller. Is mom right? Should I go on a diet under my circumstances?
