Grow Taller 4Idiots image

My mom is constantly bugging me to grow and buys a bunch of Korean herbal medicine and says they help me grow taller. She also tells me to shovel down breakfast, lunch, and dinner as fast as I can. Does eating food really fast help you grow taller? Maybe you receive your nutrients faster or something?

Say finishing a meal in 10 minutes as opposed to finishing a meal in 20 minutes as an example?

I just turned 17 and my height right now is 5ft3. I haven’t been growing in the last two years but I wish to be taller. What kind of nutrients and exercise is good for me to reach my aim? When will girls stop growing tall?
You can leave links of sites which can guide me.
Thanks!!!

For eating properly, I mean eating foods with the nutrients necessary for growth, for sleeping I mean sleeping around 8-10 hours, and for exercising I just want to know if doing exercises like jogging and jump roping can help. I would also like to know if eating yogurt or six meals a day could help you grow taller or at least help you lose weight. Please don’t post any obvious information about growth, myths, or any biased or ignorant answers, such as "genetics is everything".

my little sister (who is tall and under weight for her age)has decided to go vegetarian, and as eco-friendly as that is I think it is also very bad on her health especially considering the fact that she is going in to her preteen and teenage years which mean she will be doing a whole lot of growing and changing, I think she is going to need protein and all of the other nutrients in meat to keep her healthy during this time of rapid growth and enormous change, but I’m not sure if that’s right or not, do little kids need all of the nutrients that they get from meat (and there is now way she will be able -or will want to- take a protein supplement pill and she hates peanut butter and beans which have A lot of protein in them and does not like many types of fruits or vegetables except the occasional apple and banana) is not eating meat going to eventually going to damage her health and maybe her everyday life (like her energy levels, her mood, her attitude towards others. her skin color, her grades and other things) I honestly am not sure it is a great idea especially with her young age and at this very important point of growth and change in her life but I might be wrong!

Okay im 15 turning 16 on July 2
i am about 5’4-5’6 and i want to get taller. Im really into basketball, im good at shooting and dribbling but it is hard to play when you are one of the shortest on the team.
And im just tired of being short i want to grow tall
So is there like a diet or curtain nutrients to help groe?
Or any type of excersis?

Oh Hey ! What’s up?! How you doing ? lol

Alright here’s the deal
I’m 16, turning 17 in April and i’m 5"6
I’m thinking of majorly switching my lifestyle up cos i feel like i can still grow alot more cos my dad is 5"5 and so is my mom, but males on my mom’s side are GIANTS.
And my brother, who took most of my mom’s genes, just turned 15 this month and is 5"5! so he’s definitely gonna be tall when he’s around my age lol.
Well i have a high metabolism, I dont always smoke, but occasionally, I drink occasionally too, i never sleep early, i on average get like 4 or 5 hours of sleep everyday, I play basketball, but only once a week, during gym class in school, and i have really long legs but a short torso, i wear size 32 length trousers (and i’m a boy btw, i’m aware that most girls have naturally long legs) and really long hands(i can stand up straight and touch the top of my knee caps easily lol)

So this is my plan

I will make my sleep pattern better, having at least 8-9 hours of sleep each day, even on weekends.
I will have all 3 aquare meals each day, but what times will it be best for me to have those meals so that the nutrients will help me achieve maximum growth? Also, what kind of meals should i have? more protein? more carbs ? i dont know lol, please tell me

I will stop smoking, i might have a ciggarrete maybe every once in like a month or something, when i go to parties or something

^^ Same for drinking

I’m gonna become an avid swimmer as i hear swimming helps so i’ll go swimming for about an hour at least 5 times a week. What times would be most effective for me to swim to achieve maximum growth? p.s the swimming pool closes at 8 on weekdays and at 6 on weekends. And what strokes should i do to achieve maximum height, HGH secretion and all that?

I’m also gonna become more into basketball as i want to play in college and that :)

For breakfast, I’m most likely to have a cup of coffee along with my meal, but i’ll always drink a glass of milk before i go to bed. I tend to eat alot of eggs with breakfast so that should help cushion some of coffee’s calcium stealing activities right?

I also eat alot of meat and chicken, not enough vegetables but i’ll start that too

I’ll groom myself really well, practice good hygiene and everything

I’ll do pull ups, everyday, when i wake up, and before i go to bed, Probably like 40 a day

I’ll follow this plan rigorously then after like 2 or 3 months i’ll start to take some calcium supplements, amino acids and such? That okay?

I know height is in your genes and blah blah blah, but i know i should be tall, cos i’ve always had long legs, always been kinda tall till i was like 11 or 12 then everything started going slow, but i had some bad habits anyway.

I’m also gonna take an xray to see if my long bones have fused or closed or something which leaves me at my final height which i doubt.

I know Scotty Pippen grew over 4 inches after he was 22 in his NBA career and a bunch of other NBA stars, probably cos of the rigorous training? I don’t know but i know i should be wayyy taller than this

So what you think of the plan, sound good, any possibility of it working?
Also, please answer the questions i asked at the end of each resolution :)

Thank you :)
Best answer gets ten points

I’m about 5 ‘ 6.5 almost 5 ‘ 7. I would love to be at least 6 ‘ 2. I’m 15 years old. My dad is 5 ‘ 11 and my mom is a short 5 ‘ 2. Some say that genes isn’t all that has to do with height and how tall you grow. It is said that how you live your life can be a solution. There is also a harmless growth hormone supplement that is said to help with height growth as you take them everyday. Do you think this can help? Also, any suggestions on how i can assist my chances of getting to 6 ‘ 2?
My family is known to be short. The tallest was my dad at 5 ‘ 11 but this is common to some tall people for families not being tall. They begin new trends of taller heights as their sons and so on grow on to be tall thus making a new family- a tall family. Do you think i have a good chance to start a new trend if i take the supplements and eat my nutrients, protein, etc.?

Here are the things to think about (please read all to give an accurate answer): I am 1.71m or 5.6′ft
1. I have always been short for my age, I look like 15 or 14 right now and im 17
2. My mother is very short (1.5m or 4.9′ ft) and my brother is only 1.75m or 5.7′ ft (yes I know genetics plays a big role in height) previous family height is around 1.60m for females and 1.80m for males
3. I have never been fit because I have done little exercise activity (im not fat but I do have some body fat) I do not have the volume of muscle an average 15 year old would have. And I have lead a sedentary life up to now.
4. I have had anemia before and my nutrition has sucked, only recently I have started to eat more healthy (yes I have had calcium deficiency, nutrients, vitamins etc.)
5. I have always slept late and I have 2 black circles under my eyes, now I sleep around 6 to 8 hours a night
6. I do not smoke or drink coffee or lift heavy weights

Goal: I want to grow to 1.85m like my dad, I will do anything it takes except surgery or stupid temporary gains like shoes with higher heels

-I’m thinking of doing Yoga stretches and heavy impact exercising to break muscle and bone fibers so that they grow back when I rest.

-I will take zinc 1 supplement and tune my nutrition.

-I will sleep 8 hours a night

What else can I do, what do you suggest, what should I incorporate into my nutrition? etc.

I know its a long question but please respond; if you have any questions ask away

This is not something I bought, just one that I thought up.
- Takes place during 3 months or so, maybe during low stress times.
- HGH pills. I will use less than what the instructions actually say per dose.
- balanced diet to create influx of nutrients, but more of everything, even vegetables. I will eat to the point where I feel uncomfortable. I will take a vitamin/calcium supplement with every meal.
- sleep no later than 9 every night. sleep flat on my back with no pillow.
- excercise: jogging, swimming, pullups, pushups, jumping.
- always walk as if I am feeling someone is pulling me apart like noodles, keep body very straight.
I am not 20 yet.

I eat very healthy and have a mixed diet. I have all my vitamins and nutrients I need, I even take special tablets with all the vitamins I need as a supplement incase.

But what more can I do to grow taller? Help?
I’m in Year 11 now (im 15), and I’m just below average, any Ideas how I can increase my height?
My weight is completely fine ty, it’s in the middle of healthy in the BMI index -.- go away
