Will I be able to grow taller?
Well, to start off with, I’m a 17 year old girl. (I was born on March of 1993)
And my current height is 160cm.
These days I’m so constantly worried whether I will grow taller or not because I am definitely not satisfied with my height.
I didn’t used to be so worried about heights before; because when I was 13, I had my bone age tested at the hospital and the system predicted my height to be 169cm in the future.
But while going through adolescence, I had several problems concerning my family and financial difficulties.
And those things were too heavy on me, I got so stressed out and gained heaps of weight during the ages 14~17 and I still am rather overweight. And I think these fat have pulled me back from growing up to 169 cm like the system had predicted.
What I am most curious is ;
1. Will I be able to grow more? especially if I start dieting from now?
2. And I want to reach at least 165. Will that be possible?
3. Is there ANY chance of me growing up to 169?
4. What are there that I can do to quickly grow before I stop growing totally.
Im so self conscious about the height issue, I even try to measure myself walking on the streets..Please Answer me ! Thanks for reading.
I just have to note ; It has been proven in my case that my genetics show I can grow upto 169 according to the computer systemized test I took at a hospital ! so please try not to say anything about the ‘genetics’.

If you want to be taller just set that goal. Don’t think bad thoughts that you will forever be short just set your head into believing you’ll grow, believe me it works. The mind has not limit when used properly. Don’t try those things that stretch you out, they just pop your joints, and don’t try steroids they won’t work. l’ m 24 and i am 6’0 , my father 5’7 and mum 5’4. l was the same height as my father 8 months ago and l was always told that l would not grow over 5’7 , the height can’t be controlled , height was determined by your genetic ,inheritance etc. i was really fed up with these narrow- minded people around me and l hit the road for a solution. l have researched books , doctors and internet high and low for increasing height, and tried many growth boosters. From my experience what worked on me :
1. Eat lots of Broccoli.
2. Eat at least 250gr yougurt every day.
3. Regular Swimming helps.
4. Sleep without pillows, and sleep at least 8 hrs daily.

Follow the tips above and you’ll grow a few inches taller regardless of your age.
dieting can’t make you grow…only your genetics can
It depends on whether or not your bones have ossified – that is, whether the ends of your bones, where growth occurs, have hardened.
Most 17 year old girls will not grow any taller. Typically, you will be finished growing taller within 2 years of your first period.
Being overweight will not affect how tall you grow to be. It can be affected by malnutrition (not getting enough to eat, or not getting enough of the right nutrients), but for the most part in developed countries, height is determined by genetics and there’s nothing you can do about it.
So, since you’re likely not getting any taller (sorry), here are two one-liners from one short person to another (I’m five feet tall, don’t know how many centimeters, though) –
If any guy ever teases you about being short, tell him it’s better to come up short when standing than when lying down.
If anyone of any gender teases you, tell them that no one is tall when they’re knocked out and laying on the ground.
It’s good to be short. It gives you character and makes you learn how to defend for yourself.
Normally you stop growing taller at the age of 21. Fat cannot effect you length, it can only if you are obese.
Don’t lift weights.
I’m by no means an expert.
But beside the standard, everyone is different and that you grow according to you not by what anyone can tell you.

consider mutilating yourself for a miserable increase in height, and
be happy as you are.
